In Thursday's league test, the Powers Lake/Burke Central (Powers Lake, ND) basketball squad defeated the host Kenmare/Bowbells (Kenmare, ND), by a final score of 80-64.

Next, the clash with the Trinity Christian Crusaders (Williston, ND) in a B District 5 test, on Friday, January 24. Powers Lake/Burke Central will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Crusaders come into the test with a 3-5 record after their 85-33 league loss to Ray (Ray, ND).

The (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Tioga (Tioga, ND). The Pirates come into the B District 5 test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Tioga went down by Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood (Renville, ND), 75-62, in a non-league test.
