In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Newark Reds basketball team scored a good 55-44 triumph over the Wilson Magnet Wildcats.

The Reds (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Midlakes (Clifton Springs, NY). The Screaming Eagles go into the Section 5 Finger Lakes - East contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Midlakes was toppled by Waterloo (Waterloo, NY), 70-31, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Edison Tech Inventors (Rochester, NY) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 24. Wilson Magnet will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Inventors go into the contest with a 1-5 record after their 75-41 non-league loss to University Prep Charter (Bronx, NY).
