North Carolina High School Basketball - Covenant Classical can't hold off SouthLake Christian Academy

SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles (Huntersville, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Covenant Classical Warriors (Concord, NC), 37-35 in a non-league match.

With the victory, SouthLake Christian Academy upgrades its record to 4-11 on the year. The Eagles travel to Westminster Catawba Christian (Rock Hill, SC) to meet the Indians in a NCISAA Metrolina battle on Monday, January 27. The Indians enter the battle with a record of 8-9. Westminster Catawba Christian won 63-38 in their recent non-league battle against University Christian (Hickory, NC)

The Warriors now own a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Hills Christian for a non-league battle on Friday, January 24. Covenant Classical will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 25-24 non-league loss to Statesville Christian (Statesville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 8-4.
