The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the New Covenant School Cavaliers (Anderson, SC) and the visiting Laurens Academy Crusaders (Laurens, SC), observed New Covenant School's basketball team knock off Laurens Academy by a score of 57-45.

The Cavaliers (13-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Greenville Classical Academy (Simpsonville, SC). The Lions come into the South Carolina Christian A challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Greenville Classical Academy prevailed over Lake Pointe Academy (York, SC), 26-13, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Crusaders encounter the Oakbrook Prep Knights (Spartanburg, SC) in a SCISA 2A Region IV challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Laurens Academy will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 52-34 league win over Our Lady of the Rosary (Greenville, SC).
