In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Charles Page Sandites basketball team scored a close 52-46 win over the Putnam City Pirates.
The Sandites (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Carl Albert (Midwest City, OK). The Titans come into the non-league contest with a 15-1 record. In their last contest, Carl Albert edged Collinsville (Collinsville, OK), 41-29, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Pirates battle the Del City Eagles (Del City, OK) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 24. Putnam City will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 12-4 record after their 54-51 non-league loss to Edmond Memorial (Edmond, OK).
