The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC) and the visiting North Hills Christian Eagles (Salisbury, NC), observed Carmel Christian's basketball team knock off North Hills Christian by a score of 56-39.

The Cougars (3-4) will now prepare for their bout against Ambassador Christian School (Huntersville, NC). The Lions go into the non-league bout with a 6-1 record. In their last bout, Ambassador Christian School achieved victory over Independence (Charlotte, NC), 42-36, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, North Hills Christian falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Hickory Christian Academy (Hickory, NC) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, February 3. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-3.
