In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Georgetown Royals basketball team scored a close 62-56 triumph over the Salem Witches.

The Royals (8-1) will now prepare for their contest against Rockport (Rockport, MA). The Vikings go into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Rockport was tipped by Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School (Hathorne, MA), 50-36, in a league battle.

The Witches now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bishop Fenwick for a non-league battle on Friday, January 31.
