The St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) basketball knocked off the host Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL), 50-40 in Monday's league test.
The Spartans (16-6) will now prepare for their test against Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL). The Saints go into the Illini Prairie test with a 14-9 record. In their last test, Bloomington Central Catholic notched a victory over Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL), 66-39, in a league test.
The Spartans now own a 16-8 record. They play next when they host East Peoria for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 25. Olympia will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 54-16 league loss to Washington (Washington, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 1-18.
