In Tuesday's league outing, the PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays (Petersburg, IL) basketball squad felled the host Athens Warriors (Athens, IL), by a margin of 53-40.

The Bluejays (14-4) will now prepare for their outing against Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL). The Saukees go into the non-league outing with a 7-11 record. In their last outing, Pittsfield was beaten by Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL), 48-29, in a non-league outing.

The Warriors now own a 13-10 record. They play next when they travel to Auburn for a Sangamo outing on Friday, January 27. Athens will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 64-39 league win over Riverton (Riverton, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 17-5.
