Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs (Mahomet, IL) and the visiting Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL), saw Mahomet-Seymour's basketball squad hold off Bloomington by a tally of 62-59.
With the victory, Mahomet-Seymour improves its record to 8-11 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL) to confront the Braves in a Apollo challenge on Friday, January 27. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 21-2. Mt. Zion won 68-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL)
Next up, the Purple Raiders confront the Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL) in a Big Twelve challenge, on Friday, January 27. Bloomington will attempt to improve on its 4-17 season record. The Maroons come into the challenge with a 7-14 record after their 59-55 non-league win over Effingham (Effingham, IL).
