In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Central Bearcats (Battle Creek, MI) basketball squad beat the host Portage Northern Huskies (Portage, MI), by a margin of 44-34.

The Bearcats (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against St. Joseph (St. Joseph, MI). The Bears go into the non-league outing with a 6-3 record.

The Huskies now own a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Mattawan for a Southwestern Michigan - West outing on Thursday, January 26.
