Nebraska High School Basketball - Fairbury knocked off by Sandy Creek

The Sandy Creek Cougars basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Fairbury Jeffs to 39 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sutton for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 26. Sandy Creek will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 39-31 non-league win over Milford (Milford, NE). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-10.

The Jeffs (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Johnson County Central (Tecumseh, NE). The Thunderbirds enter the non-league contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Johnson County Central ran past Falls City (Falls City, NE), 52-43, in a non-league contest.
