Greater New Bedford RVT Bears (New Bedford, MA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Fairhaven Blue Devils (Fairhaven, MA), 51-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Greater New Bedford RVT upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Bears host Somerset Berkley Regional (Somerset, MA) to play the Raiders in a South Coast bout on Friday, January 27. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Somerset Berkley Regional lost 76-71 in their recent league bout against Wareham (Wareham, MA)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Apponequet Regional Lakers (Lakeville, MA) in a South Coast challenge, on Friday, January 27. Fairhaven will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Lakers come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 58-51 league loss to Seekonk (Seekonk, MA).
