Father McGivney Catholic Griffins (Glen Carbon, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host First Baptist Academy (O'Fallon, IL), 55-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Father McGivney Catholic upgrades its record to 11-10 on the campaign. The Griffins host Marissa/Coulterville (Marissa, IL) to play the Meteors in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Meteors come into the bout with a record of 8-5. Marissa/Coulterville won 46-41 in their recent non-league bout against Maryville Christian (Maryville, IL)

Next up, the play the Westfair Christian (Jacksonville, IL) in a Illinois Christian bout, on Thursday, February 2. First Baptist Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record.
