Florida High School Basketball - Naples can't hold off First Baptist Academy

The First Baptist Academy Lions basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Naples Golden Eagles to 68 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gateway Charter for a non-league contest on Friday, January 27. First Baptist Academy will battle a Griffins team coming off a 81-72 non-league win over Canterbury (Fort Myers, FL). The Griffins record now stands at 18-4.

The Golden Eagles (12-8) will now prepare for their contest against Charlotte (Punta Gorda, FL). The Fightin' Tarpons enter the non-league contest with a 10-12 record. In their last contest, Charlotte nudged North Port (North Port, FL), 59-44, in a non-league contest.
