The Mansfield Hornets (Mansfield, MA) basketball knocked off the visiting Franklin Panthers (Franklin, MA), 56-46 in Tuesday's league test.
The Hornets (13-1) will now prepare for their test against Canton (Canton, MA). The Bulldogs go into the Hockomock test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Canton notched a victory over King Philip Regional (Wrentham, MA), 55-51, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 9-1 record. They play next when they host Milford for a Hockomock test on Friday, January 27. Franklin will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 73-63 league loss to Stoughton (Stoughton, MA). The Hawks record now stands at 5-8.
