Massachusetts High School Basketball - Newton South can't hold off Wayland

The Wayland Warriors basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the host Newton South Lions to 54 in the Warriors non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Warriors now sport a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westford Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 31. Wayland will battle a Grey Ghosts team coming off a 57-56 league win over Lincoln-Sudbury (Sudbury, MA). The Grey Ghosts record now stands at 6-6.
The Lions (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Southeastern RVT (South Easton, MA). The Hawks come into the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Southeastern RVT was nudged by Arlington Catholic (Arlington, MA), 93-57, in a non-league contest.
