The West Bend-Mallard Wolverines basketball team (West Bend, IA), was overwhelmed 79-55 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host South Central Calhoun Titans (Lake City, IA)
The Titans now possess a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newell-Fonda for a Twin Lakes battle on Friday, January 27. South Central Calhoun will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 75-44 league win over Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-2.
The Wolverines (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA). The Gaels come into the non-league battle with a 4-10 record. In their last battle, St. Edmond was overwhelmed by Webster City (Webster City, IA), 55-36, in a league battle.
