Warren East Raiders (Bowling Green, KY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting South Warren Spartans (Bowling Green, KY), 42-41 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Warren East upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Raiders host Central Hardin (Cecilia, KY) to play the Bruins in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Bruins come into the bout with a record of 8-9. Central Hardin lost 72-65 in their recent league bout against North Hardin (Radcliff, KY)

Next up, the Spartans play the Bowling Green Purples (Bowling Green, KY) in a District 14 bout, on Friday, January 27. South Warren will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Purples come into the bout with a 18-2 record after their 70-59 non-league win over Ohio County (Hartford, KY).
