Water Valley Blue Devils (Water Valley, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Winona Tigers (Winona, MS), 39-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Water Valley upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Blue Devils host Kossuth (Kossuth, MS) to clash with the Aggies in a 3A Region 1 bout on Friday, January 27. The Aggies go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Kossuth lost 73-43 in their recent non-league bout against Ingomar (New Albany, MS)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Amanda Elzy Panthers (Greenwood, MS) in a 3A Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Winona will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record.
