The Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX) basketball knocked off the host Seguin Cougars (Arlington, TX), 47-38 in Tuesday's league test.
The Elks (4-20) will now prepare for their test against Joshua (Joshua, TX). The Owls go into the 5A Region I District 8 test with a 9-19 record.
The Cougars now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they travel to Cleburne for a 5A Region I District 8 test on Friday, January 27. Seguin will encounter a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 71-25 league loss to Midlothian (Midlothian, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-17.
