The Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) basketball knocked off the host Calvert Senecas (Tiffin, OH), 47-27 in Tuesday's league test.
The Chieftains (9-5) will now prepare for their test against Lakota (Kansas, OH). The Raiders go into the Sandusky Bay - River test with a 14-2 record. In their last test, Lakota notched a victory over Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH), 44-37, in a league test.
The Senecas now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they host St. Mary Central Catholic for a Sandusky Bay - River test on Friday, January 27. Calvert will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 53-29 league loss to St. Joseph Central Catholic (Fremont, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 0-15.
