The Elkton/Lake Benton Elks basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Dell Rapids Quarriers to 39 in the Elks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Elks now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oldham-Ramona/Rutland for a non-league contest on Friday, January 27. Elkton/Lake Benton will battle a Raiders team coming off a 54-16 non-league win over Waubay/Summit (Waubay, SD). The Raiders record now stands at 5-7.
The Quarriers (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against Vermillion (Vermillion, SD). The Tanagers enter the non-league contest with a 12-0 record. In their last contest, Vermillion ran past Garretson (Garretson, SD), 51-25, in a non-league contest.
