The Mason City Mohawks basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Des Moines East Scarlets to 15 in the Mohawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Mohawks now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marshalltown for a non-league contest on Friday, January 27. Mason City will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 60-10 non-league loss to Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-14.
The Scarlets (0-11) will now prepare for their contest against Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA). The Roughriders enter the Central Iowa Metro - Metro contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Roosevelt triumphed over Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA), 60-10, in a non-league contest.
