Florida High School Basketball - Trinity Catholic knocked off by Hawthorne

January 24, 2023: Hawthorne, FL 32640

The Hawthorne Hornets basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Trinity Catholic Celtics to 40 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hornets now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Buchholz for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 25. Hawthorne will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 62-57 non-league win over Orange Park (Orange Park, FL). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-8.

The Celtics (14-9) will now prepare for their contest against Bradford (Starke, FL). The Tornadoes enter the 3A District 2 contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Bradford was defeated by P.K. Yonge (Gainesville, FL), 68-47, in a league contest.
