The Wahlert Golden Eagles basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Jefferson Hawks to 49 in the Golden Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dubuque Senior for a Mississippi Valley contest on Thursday, January 26. Wahlert will meet a Rams team coming off a 57-45 league loss to Prairie (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Rams record now stands at 7-10.
The Hawks (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Prairie (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Hawks enter the Mississippi Valley contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Prairie nudged Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA), 57-45, in a league contest.
