Standish-Sterling Panthers (Standish, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals (Saginaw, MI), 47-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Standish-Sterling upgrades its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Carrollton (Carrollton, MI) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 0-11. Carrollton lost 68-31 in their recent league bout against Bullock Creek (Midland, MI)

Next up, the Cardinals play the St. Louis Sharks (St. Louis, MI) in a Tri-Valley - West II bout, on Friday, January 27. Michigan Lutheran Seminary will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Sharks come into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 50-42 non-league win over Webberville (Webberville, MI).
