Northwest Catholic Lions (West Hartford, CT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Middletown Blue Dragons (Middletown, CT), 60-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northwest Catholic upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Glastonbury (Glastonbury, CT) to play the Guardians in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 26. The Guardians go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Glastonbury won 49-18 in their recent non-league bout against Farmington (Farmington, CT)

Next up, the Blue Dragons play the Plainville Blue Devils (Plainville, CT) in a Central Connecticut - West Colonial bout, on Friday, January 27. Middletown will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 44-38 non-league win over Hartford Public (Hartford, CT).
