Mississippi High School Basketball - Pine Grove overwhelmed by Walnut

The Pine Grove Panthers basketball team (Ripley, MS), was routed 66-36 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS)

The Wildcats now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Site for a 2A Region 1 battle on Friday, January 27. Walnut will battle a Royals team coming off a 59-54 league win over East Union (Blue Springs, MS). The Royals record now stands at 22-5.

The Panthers (2-18) will now prepare for their battle against Mantachie (Mantachie, MS). The Mustangs come into the non-league battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Mantachie was routed by Saltillo (Saltillo, MS), 65-63, in a non-league battle.
