Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Swallows Charter Academy Spartans (Pueblo West, CO) and the visiting Swink Lions (Swink, CO), saw Swallows Charter Academy's basketball squad knock off Swink by a count of 41-23.

With the victory, Swallows Charter Academy upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Hoehne (Hoehne, CO) to play the Farmers in a 3A/2A Santa Fe challenge on Thursday, January 26. The Farmers come into the challenge with a record of 9-1. Hoehne won 53-13 in their recent league challenge against Crowley County (Ordway, CO)

Next up, the Lions play the Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds (Mosca, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Swink will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 67-36 non-league win over La Veta (La Veta, CO).
