The Armstrong Wildcats basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Mechanicsville Mustangs to 37 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Henrico for a non-league contest on Friday, January 27. Armstrong will battle a Warriors team coming off a 61-52 non-league win over Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 10-4.
The Mustangs (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Patrick Henry was defeated by Henrico (Richmond, VA), 61-52, in a non-league contest.
