The Avalon Lancers (Avalon, CA) basketball felled the visiting Magnolia Science Academy Pirates (Santa Ana, CA), 61-44 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Lancers (7-14) will now prepare for their test against Acaciawood (Anaheim, CA). The Golden Eagles go into the Express test with a 7-10 record.
The Pirates now own a 3-9 record. They play next when they host Vista Meridian for a Western test on Friday, January 26. Magnolia Science Academy will encounter a Meridian Eagles squad coming off a 41-30 league win over Liberty Christian (Huntington Beach, CA). The Meridian Eagles record now stands at 4-9.
