The Meridian Trojans (Bellingham, WA) basketball nipped the host Bellingham Bayhawks (Bellingham, WA), 65-59 in Wednesday's league test.
The Trojans (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA). The Wildcats go into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest test with a 2-14 record. In their last test, Oak Harbor was tipped by Squalicum (Bellingham, WA), 71-50, in a league test.
The Bayhawks now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Mt. Baker for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest test on Friday, January 26. Bellingham will encounter a Mountaineers squad coming off a 67-45 league loss to Sedro-Woolley (Sedro-Woolley, WA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 3-14.
