Brookfield Bobcats (Brookfield, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Masuk Panthers (Monroe, CT), 77-61 in a league bout.

With the win, Brookfield upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT) to play the Lancers in a Southwest bout on Thursday, January 25. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Notre Dame Catholic won 71-26 in their recent league bout against Joel Barlow (Redding, CT)

Next up, the Panthers play the New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT) in a Southwest bout, on Friday, January 26. Masuk will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Green Wave go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 71-63 league loss to Newtown (Newtown, CT).
