California High School Basketball - Chico edges Yuba City

The Chico Panthers (Chico, CA) basketball nipped the host Yuba City Honkers (Yuba City, CA), 66-59 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Panthers (13-9) will now prepare for their test against Shasta (Redding, CA). The Wolves go into the Eastern test with a 12-11 record. In their last test, Shasta was tipped by Orland (Orland, CA), 52-49, in a non-league test.

The Honkers now own a 7-15 record. They play next when they travel to Woodcreek for a Capital Valley Conference test on Friday, January 26. Yuba City will encounter a Timberwolves squad coming off a 62-59 league win over Antelope (Antelope, CA). The Timberwolves record now stands at 18-5.
