The Classical Purples basketball team scored 78 points and held the host East Greenwich Avengers to 46 in the Purples league triumph on Wednesday.
The Purples now sport a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Narragansett for a Division 1 contest on Friday, January 26. Classical will battle a Mariners team coming off a 67-60 league loss to North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI). The Mariners record now stands at 7-8.
The Avengers (1-12) will now prepare for their contest against North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI). The Skippers enter the Division 1 contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, North Kingstown triumphed over Narragansett (Narragansett, RI), 67-60, in a league contest.
