In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs (Mackinaw, IL) basketball squad edged the visiting Cornerstone Christian Cyclones (Bloomington, IL), by a count of 42-40.

The Chiefs (6-15) will now prepare for their outing against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL). The Falcons go into the Heart of Illinois outing with a 12-8 record.

The Cyclones now hold a 3-15 record. They play next when they travel to Judah Christian for a East Central Illinois outing on Friday, January 26. Cornerstone Christian will clash with a Tribe squad coming off a 75-22 league win over Greenview (Greenview, IL). The Tribe record now stands at 6-13.
