The Western Christian Pioneers routed the host Delphian Dragons basketball team by a final score of 89-34 in Wednesday's league game.
In their next game, the Pioneers face the Gervais Cougars (Gervais, OR) in a 2A Tri-River game, on Friday, January 26. Western Christian will attempt to move on its 17-1 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 11-4 record after their 76-71 league loss to Willamina (Willamina, OR).
The Dragons (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Santiam (Mill City, OR). The Wolverines come into the 2A Tri-River battle with a 10-8 record. In their last battle, Santiam trounced Blanchet Catholic (Salem, OR), 54-38, in a league battle.
