In Wednesday's league outing, the Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the host DePue Little Giants (DePue, IL), by a margin of 52-22.

The Norsemen (5-14) will now prepare for their outing against Somonauk (Somonauk, IL). The Bobcats go into the Little Ten outing with a 10-10 record. In their last outing, Somonauk was trounced by Marquette (Ottawa, IL), 57-41, in a non-league outing.

The Little Giants now own a 5-13 record. They play next when they host Leland for a Little Ten outing on Friday, January 26. DePue will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 77-37 league loss to Earlville (Earlville, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 7-14.
