Rhode Island High School Basketball - Pilgrim can't hold off Middletown

The Middletown Islanders basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the host Pilgrim Patriots to 44 in the Islanders league victory on Wednesday.
The Islanders now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salesianum for a non-league contest on Friday, January 26. Middletown will battle a Sallies team coming off a 50-35 non-league loss to Middletown (Middletown, DE). The Sallies record now stands at 6-7.
The Patriots (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Toll Gate (Warwick, RI). The Titans come into the Division 2 contest with a 1-12 record. In their last contest, Toll Gate was nudged by Burrillville (Harrisville, RI), 61-56, in a league contest.
