Flushing Raiders (Flushing, MI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Midland Chemics (Midland, MI), 46-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Flushing upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Fenton (Fenton, MI) to confront the Tigers in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 25. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 0-2.

The Chemics (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Arthur Hill (Saginaw, MI). The Lumberjacks come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record.
