In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Stillman Valley Cardinals (Stillman Valley, IL) basketball squad beat the visiting Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL), by a count of 46-38.

The Cardinals (22-4) will now prepare for their outing against Oregon (Oregon, IL). The Hawks go into the Big Northern outing with a 4-18 record. In their last outing, Oregon was topped by Dixon (Dixon, IL), 62-18, in a league outing.

The J-Hawks now hold a 9-15 record. They play next when they host Rockford East for a Northern Illinois 10 outing on Friday, January 26. Jefferson will clash with a E-Rabs squad coming off a 45-10 league loss to Harlem (Machesney Park, IL). The E-Rabs record now stands at 2-18.
