Ohio High School Basketball - Newark Catholic trounces Licking Heights

January 24, 2024: Pataskala, OH 43062

The Newark Catholic Green Wave (Newark, OH) basketball crushed the host Licking Heights Hornets (Pataskala, OH), 52-24 in Wednesday's league test.

The Green Wave (15-0) will now prepare for their test against Waterford (Waterford, OH). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 14-2 record. In their last test, Waterford walloped Trimble (Glouster, OH), 44-26, in a league test.

The Hornets now own a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Licking Valley for a Licking County - Buckeye test on Saturday, January 27. Licking Heights will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 48-29 non-league win over Northridge (Johnstown, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 7-8.
