The Lutheran Crusaders (Rockford, IL) basketball felled the visiting Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL), 52-42 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Crusaders (16-6) will now prepare for their test against Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL). The Rockets go into the Big Northern test with a 7-19 record. In their last test, Rock Falls was beaten by Rockford Christian (Rockford, IL), 76-63, in a league test.
The Golden Warriors now own a 11-13 record. They play next when they travel to Geneseo for a Western Big 6 test on Thursday, January 25. Sterling will encounter a Maple Leafs squad coming off a 65-26 non-league loss to Loyola Academy (Wilmette, IL). The Maple Leafs record now stands at 6-14.
