St. Catherine's Saints (Richmond, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA), 42-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Catherine's upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Saints host Collegiate (Richmond, VA) to play the Cougars in a LIS bout on Friday, January 26. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Collegiate lost 57-50 in their recent league bout against Saint Gertrude (Richmond, VA)

Next up, the Mavericks play the Seton Conquistadors (Manassas, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Miller School of Albemarle will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Conquistadors go into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 45-37 league win over Oakcrest (McLean, VA).
