Pemberton Hornets (Pemberton, NJ) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Palmyra Panthers (Palmyra, NJ), 51-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pemberton upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Hornets host Medford Tech (Medford, NJ) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 2-11. Medford Tech won 47-34 in their recent league bout against Burlington Township (Burlington, NJ)

Next up, the Panthers play the Bordentown Scotties (Bordentown, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Palmyra will attempt to upgrade on its 11-3 season record. The Scotties come into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 56-24 non-league win over Florence Township Memorial (Florence, NJ).
