In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Wolfe County Wolves (Campton, KY) basketball squad felled the host West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY), by a margin of 69-59.
The Wolves (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against Jackson City (Jackson, KY). The Tigers go into the District 55 outing with a 2-14 record. In their last outing, Jackson City thwarted Oneida Baptist Institute (Oneida, KY), 39-34, in a non-league outing.
The Comets now own a 3-14 record. They play next when they travel to Elliott County for a District 62 outing on Friday, January 26. West Carter will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 44-42 non-league loss to Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY). The Lions record now stands at 4-9.
