McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD), 61-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McDonough upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Rams host Westfield (Chantilly, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 9-1. Westfield won 71-62 in their recent non-league bout against Chantilly (Chantilly, VA)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Westlake will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 10-1 record after their 62-55 league win over St. Charles (Waldorf, MD).
