North Kingstown Skippers (North Kingstown, RI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI), 53-44 in a league bout.

With the win, North Kingstown upgrades its record to 7-7 on the season. The Skippers travel to La Salle Academy (Providence, RI) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 7-5.

Next up, the Mariners play the Classical Purples (Providence, RI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Narragansett will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Purples go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 67-39 non-league win over East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI).
