Lakeview Charter Lions (Sylmar, CA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Barack Obama Prep Academy Eagles (Los Angeles, CA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions confront the Valley Oaks CES Vanguards (Sun Valley, CA) in a North Valley challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Lakeview Charter will attempt to better on its 6-13 season record. The Vanguards enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 0-0 league CHAMPS (Van Nuys, CA).

The Eagles now have a 1-10 record. They take the field next when they host Alliance Health Services Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, January 26. Barack Obama Prep Academy will confront a Wolves team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Brio College Prep (Los Angeles, CA). The Wolves record now stands at 2-1.
